The Mako Foundation, in partnership with Project C.U.R.E. and Haramaya University, is welcoming a volunteer medical mission team from the USA at Hawassa Airport this Saturday. Starting Sunday, this dedicated team of doctors, nurses, and volunteers will set up at the Shashamane Comprehensive Specialized Hospital to provide free, comprehensive medical care to the local community. The post extends deep gratitude to the international volunteers, local healthcare professionals, coordinators, and partners who facilitated logistics—including customs clearance for vital medical supplies—and invites the local and diaspora communities in Shashamane to join in welcoming the team.

Mako foundation medical trips

Tomorrow, we will proudly welcome our volunteer medical mission team from the USA 🇺🇸 at Hawassa Airport. They have traveled a long way to provide free medical services to our people at Shashamane Comprehensive Specialized Hospital.

We invite everyone from the diaspora community and local community members who are in Shashamane to join us in welcoming these dedicated doctors, nurses, and volunteers. They truly deserve our appreciation for their commitment to serving others.

The team will arrive on Saturday at Hawassa Airport, and on Sunday they will begin setting up and preparing to provide comprehensive free medical care to the community.

I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to all the volunteer doctors and nurses, as well as our local healthcare professionals, leaders, interpreters, transportation coordinators, and everyone working behind the scenes to make this mission successful.

A special thank you to Project C.U.R.E. for organizing this medical mission team, to Haramaya University for assisting with customs clearance of the medical supplies and equipment, and to the Mako Foundation team for facilitating previous and upcoming medical missions and supporting the delivery of much-needed medical equipment to Ethiopia 🇪🇹.

We also thank everyone who has contributed, supported, encouraged, or prayed for the success of this mission.

See you all tomorrow. Let us continue spreading kindness, doing good deeds, supporting one another, and helping our communities in every way we can.

Together, we can make a difference.
