My journey to Ethiopia with Mako Foundation has been truly unforgettable.

For the past six weeks, I had the privilege of serving alongside 14 incredible medical volunteers, mostly from the USA 🇺🇸 Project C.U.R.E. Clinic team, who partnered with the Mako Foundation team to serve at Shashamane Hospital and provide free medical care. Their compassion, dedication, and willingness to serve humanity without borders inspired us all.

They cared for women, men, and children while sharing their knowledge and strengthening our local healthcare teams.

I was also honored to celebrate the graduation of students at our school's KADMAK Academy kindergarten and year-end ceremony as a board member. Seeing the joy and hope in these children reminds us why we continue this work.

Along the way, I experienced Ethiopia's warm hospitality—sharing delicious food, traditional coffee, visiting local communities, farms, several cities, weddings, and Kenna Center, where children with disabilities and autism receive loving care.

Although I missed my planned Kenya visits, this journey gave me far more than I expected.

My heartfelt thanks to Project C.U.R.E., Shashamane Hospital, our amazing volunteers, the local community, the Mako Foundation team, government officials, our drivers, Haile Hotels Shashamane, Biftu Restaurant (Kebele 01), my family, and friends. Your kindness and support made this mission unforgettable.

Now I'm flying to Australia for a short visit with family and friends before returning home to Minnesota, USA.

Thank you again to everyone who made this journey so meaningful. Together, we will continue bringing hope, serving others, and making a difference.
